Netcash
About Netcash
Netcash is a Payroll Module that will allow you to Validate and Verify Employee ID Numbers and Bank Account Numbers in RSA Tax Countries.
Netcash Connected Services must be installed before this module can be licensed.
See Connected Services for more information.
Netcash Connected Services on the Employee Information Screen
A Netcash Connected Services section will be displayed on the Personal Details Tab.
If a photo has been loaded for the employee, it will display on this screen at all times.
The employee’s ID Number is validated immediately when entering on this field.
The other options are only enabled when your ACB Export is set up for Netcash (previously Sage Pay) to export your salaries and you have populated the 'Credit Data Service Key' field.
- ID Verification,
- Bank Account Validation,
- Bank Account Verification

This option checks whether the number is valid.

This option checks whether the number is valid and if the number belongs to the employee for which the query was done.
The items on the screen must be done in this order:
- A valid ID Number must be loaded before selecting any of the other items on the screen.
- The ID Number must first be verified before the Bank Account Number can be validated.
- The Bank Account Number must be validated before it can be verified.

This validation is done according to the SARS Modules 10 Test. All RSA ID Numbers will be validated. The Validation Test also looks at the length of the ID Number. Sage is currently not validating the length of the ID Number.
The items on the screen must be processed sequentially. One cannot continue with the next instruction until feedback has been received concerning the current one. When verification of the ID Number has been requested, or the Bank Account Number is in the process of being validated and verified, then that option is greyed out until feedback is received. The button will reflect as Yellow with a Pending Status.
Information for the validations and verifications are written to the local Database File and feedback can take up to 48 hours.

The four options will always have one of the following buttons displayed alongside them, which also represents 25% of the Status Bar in the corresponding colour:
- Green Tick: Successfully completed.
- Yellow Snowflake: Request has been sent, the transaction is pending and awaiting feedback. When the request has been sent, the option will be disabled until feedback is received.
- Red Cross: No request has been sent or the number has not been verified or validated.

When clicking on any of the <Status> buttons, a Sage Connect Rating Screen will be displayed with the Status for that instruction.
Verifications can take up to 48 hours.

Bank Account Verification confirms whether the valid Bank Account Number belongs to the said employee and is checked against the Surname.
Bank Account Verification can only be done after ID Verification and Bank Account Validation.
When Bank Account Verification is selected, the valid Bank Account Number is sent to the database for approval / rejection and the <Status> button becomes Yellow, indicating the Pending Status.
When approved, the <Status> button will change to Green.
If rejected, the <Status> button will turn Red again (as it was before the query was made).
In order to View any Bank Account Details, you must have Full or View Access to the Payment Details Tab.
